For government departments and public bodies

From what your staff and the public know today to what they need to do tomorrow.

We design staff training and public learning that get them there, one clear step at a time.

  1. TodayStaff trained once, in a 2-day lecture.
  2. Weeks 1 to 4Short practice sessions on real cases, led by trained colleagues.
  3. TomorrowEvery office serves citizens the same, correct way.

Where we help

Two kinds of work

Training your staff

  • Induction for new officers and staff.
  • Training at scale, online and in person.
  • Digital and AI skills.
  • New systems, laws and procedures.
  • Serving citizens well.
  • Course redesign for training academies.

Helping the public learn

  • Public learning campaigns.
  • How-to guides and short videos for public services.
  • Interactive tools people can use on their phones.
  • Training for health workers and hospital staff on public health challenges.
  • Teaching materials for schools and communities.
  • Measuring what changed.
Public learning

From a message to a habit

An awareness campaign tells people what to do. Changing what they do takes more. We use what behaviour research says helps people act.

  1. Make it easy

One clear step, with the hard parts removed.

  2. Make it attractive

Show why it's worth doing, in people's own terms.

  3. Make it social

Show that others like them already do it.

  4. Make it timely

Reach people at the moment they need to act.

Training at scale

Training at scale, without losing quality

Our team has built courses for learners all over the world, from graduate courses on Coursera and edX to programmes studied at teaching centres in many countries. We know how to reach large numbers of people, keep them engaged and make sure they learn. We bring the same methods to staff and public training in Pakistan.

200courses managed for learners around the worldLSE Global Programmes
  • Online, for thousands at once

Short, phone-friendly courses with interactive practice and AI-supported feedback for every learner.

  • The same quality in every district

Blended programmes where local sessions use the same materials, activities and checks, wherever they run.

  • Through your own trainers

We prepare your trainers to run sessions that change how people work, and support them as they go.

We keep people going with reminders, progress tracking and support, and we report what changed.

Before and after

See how we make a difference

Here's a public health campaign before and after we redesigned it. Health experts own the content. We design how people learn it, act on it and keep doing it.

Before

Dengue awareness campaign

  • TV adverts, posters and leaflets every monsoon saying "Keep your surroundings clean".
  • Fogging trucks in the streets.
  • The same message to every neighbourhood, every year.
After

The same campaign, redesigned

  1. Change 1: A larva hunt. Residents and school students check their own homes and streets with a short phone checklist and photos. They find where mosquitoes are breeding: water tanks, flower pots, old tyres.
  2. Change 2: Their results, their plan. Each neighbourhood sees a simple map of what it found, then a local meeting chooses its own actions.
  3. Change 3: A reminder at the right moment. A short WhatsApp message after rain, with a 60-second check: "Have you emptied standing water this week?"
  1. Reason for change 1: "Keep surroundings clean" is vague. Finding larvae in your own water tank makes the risk real and the action specific.
  2. Reason for change 2: In a trial with over 85,000 residents, neighbourhoods that discussed their own survey results and chose their own actions had 44% fewer homes with mosquito larvae, and less dengue infection in children.
  3. Reason for change 3: People act when the reminder arrives at the moment it matters.

Sample project, to show our approach. Content would be checked by a named public health expert before use.
